Get to know Ascension Lutheran School
We invite you to get to know our amazing school program serving students in grades TK-8. We provide children with a well-rounded, Christian, educational experience that focuses on the whole-child in mind, body, and spirit. Our dedication to this approach is anchored in the school's motto - Lead, Inspire, Serve- and in our vision:
Ascension Lutheran School is dedicated to nurturing each student, providing academic excellence, and creating bold, compassionate leaders who inspire and serve others in their walk with Jesus Christ.
A Community of Christian Values
Ascension Lutheran School is a community that emphasizes the teachings of Christ and respect and love for oneself and others. We serve approximately 165 students in transitional kindergarten through eighth grade.
Our school is strongly rooted in the Lutheran tradition but welcomes students and families of various faith backgrounds. We learn and play under the guidance of our school pastor, and many of our teachers have a background in the Lutheran tradition and attend church. All of our teachers and staff care passionately about modeling life in Jesus Christ.
Faith life at Ascension intersects with all that we do. It is the lens through which we see. We live by the virtues of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, joy, forgiveness, and love.
Our school is a mission of the Ascension Lutheran Church that provides academic and co-curricular excellence alongside instruction in traditional Christian values to guide children to grow to lead, inspire, and serve in their communities. We are also guided by the principle that maximum learning occurs when home and school work together to mutually support and reinforce these values.

An Individualized Experience
It's more than smaller class sizes and individualized attention that makes learning at Ascension Lutheran School special. We built our program on a foundation of academic standards, child-centered teaching, leadership development, social and emotional skills, service learning, and faith formation with the goal of educating the whole-child.
We provide your child with a unique education experience through methods including learning differentiation, specialty classes, STEAM-focused curriculum, Nature Lab and outdoor classroom experiences, and engagement with our One Ascension community of faith. Our students grow into caring citizens, confident leaders, problem-solvers, self-starters, and graduate prepared for the higher levels of learning.
An Enriched Education
Ascension Lutheran School is where learning and imagination happen in a 21st century way. We go beyond traditional academics to introduce students to areas of study not found at other schools. Our Specialty Programs introduce students to new ideas and ways of thinking as they explore the world around them.
