Welcome

VArias.jpg

Hi TK families!

My name is Vaness Arias, and I am thrilled to be with the Ascension family as your TK teacher! With over ten years of experience in education, I've had the pleasure of teaching Pre-K and Kindergarten.

I graduated from California Baptist University with a degree in Early Childhood Studies, and I am passionate about creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive. I aim to make learning fun and meaningful, and I can't wait to get to know each child's unique strengths and interests.

We will have a great year of exploration, creativity, and growth in TK. I look forward to working closely with you and your children to make this a memorable and successful year.

Here's to a fantastic school year!

RESOURCES

These are the resources that I use in my classroom:

  • A Weekly TK Newsletter emailed every Monday.

  • Class Dojo- I upload class pictures so you can see what activities your child is learning about.

  • Ascension Chatter is our weekly school newsletter that has school wide information.

HOMEWORK

There is no homework in Transitional Kindergarten but we do have share time each week. This is an important time where your child can speak in front of their peers using their oral skills. They love share but parents do need to make sure they bring their share on their child's specific day.

Throughout the year, I may have larger fun projects to complete. I promise I will give you plenty of time to prepare together.

Our classroom has been well-loved and we would greatly appreciate any fun additions and a few replacements. Check out our Amazon classroom wish list if you would like to donate to our learning environment.
