I have the privilege of serving as Interim Principal at Ascension Lutheran School where the school recently celebrated 50 years of bringing quality Christian education to the church as well as the surrounding community, Infant through Grade 8.
The school has proved to be an ongoing blessing to families of all faiths and backgrounds since the school opened its doors in 1963, while looking forward to future opportunities to serve children and their families.
The staff has been blessed with very well qualified teachers in all the subject areas, whether it be technology, math, science, writing, literature, or history. Families are pleased with their children’s academic growth and performance after attending Ascension as they move forward to higher levels of education.
While academics are of great importance, it is also the compassionate caring nature of the church and school staff that make the experience at Ascension Lutheran School intimate and personal. When academic problems arise or a family is struggling with personal concerns, the school is there to meet the needs of each family. The students are also taught to constantly look beyond themselves and to provide help and assistance to those who need it most.
Many families have also had the pleasure of experiencing the joys of having their children enrolled in the school’s outstanding preschool program, with its focus on environmental education.
Wherever your child fits best in the school’s program, he/she will experience the love and concern of Jesus Christ and a caring community. Please consider this special experience for your child and observe the academic and spiritual maturity that follows.
