We invite you to get to know our amazing elementary school program serving students in grades TK-6. We provide children with a well-rounded, Christian, educational experience that focuses on the whole-child in mind, body, and spirit. Our dedication to this approach is anchored in the school's motto - Lead, Inspire, Serve- and in our vision.

Vision Statement

Ascension Lutheran School is dedicated to nurturing each student, providing academic excellence, and creating bold, compassionate leaders who inspire and serve others in their walk with Jesus Christ.

A Christ-Centered Campus

Situated on the spacious campus of Ascension Lutheran Church on Hillcrest Drive in Thousand Oaks, Ascension Lutheran Elementary School serves approximately 140 students in transitional kindergarten through sixth grade.

Our elementary school is strongly rooted in the Lutheran tradition but welcomes students and families of various faith backgrounds. We learn and play under the guidance of our school pastor, and many of our teachers have a background in the Lutheran tradition and attend church. All of our teachers and staff care passionately about modeling life in Jesus Christ.

Faith life at Ascension intersects with all that we do. It is the lens through which we see. We live by the virtues of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, joy, forgiveness, and love.

WASCAscension Lutheran Elementary School is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), a distinction held since 1996.
